Phineas Wilbert's First Haircut
Hi Kayrn, Phineas (Little Willy) had his first haircut today. The groomer didn't do the best job, but wanted to share these pictures with you.
He's doing wonderfully well! We absolutely adore him.
Hope you and Duane are doing well. Warmest regards, Theresa

Hi Kayrn, I've attached some before and after haircut pictures of Wally. After he was clipped it was surprising how distinctive his almost stripes were.

Dear Kayrn, Here is a picture of Charlie at work with Daniel at his ad agency in downtown Spokane. As you can see, he is "hard at work."
BTW, little Barbie is doing great! I will send you some pics soon. Sima

Greetings Kayrn! I hope all is well with you, Duane and all the Scotties! It’s been a long time since I’ve sent in an update of Bailey (daughter of Missy and BoBo born 11/29/05). Attached is a picture of her (Wheaten) with her brother Guinness all suited up to watch their teams play! [My husband is the Chargers fan, I’m the Steelers fan]. I also put a picture of her with me (Mommy!) and Guinness & Bailey dressed up for the Long Beach Halloween parade.
Bailey is doing wonderful. You can not see it in the picture but her coloring is definitely BoBo’s influence, she has that reddish streak down her back. She is such a little darling! She loves to play and oh my does she love to eat – wow that girl has an endless appetite! We watch her food and snacks – we her to keep in shape! It also helps that she is SOOOO active! She has so much energy – she wears out her brother and us! She is so talented – she can stand on her hind legs and balance for the longest time and she knows how to catch! Wow! She loves watching TV – especially Animal Planet. She shows off the terrier in her - always watching what’s going on in the yard, in the house, on walks – so alert! Forget about stuffed animals – she likes to rip them open to find the squeaker. My Mom sews them back up without the squeaker – no matter, she rips it open anyway! We love our Scotties so much! They are such wonderful companions and have such great personalities! Bailey sends her love you all and a special hello to Missy and BoBo!
Cheers for now! Joel, Mary Anne, Guinness and Bailey

Hi Kayrn, I decided to take Mac and get him cut. I just wont have the time for showing. Georgia who does our grooming did a great job on him she does 6 other Scotties. She just loves Mac and says he is the best little guy and so cute. She can't believe his temperament and says he has the best she has ever seen on a Scottie. She says a lot of them are cranky. I will send you some pictures of him and his new cut soon, and also we are trying to get movies, and pictures of him on the slide and will send soon. We want to take him to agility classes he loves that stuff, so I think we will go that route with him. Do all of your Scotties have such cute loving, funny personalities. HE is all over the place in the yard he gets up on the picnic table and stretches out on it and sleeps, he jumps across things constantly and runs so fast. He loves chasing squirrels and crows also. HE is also very protective of "outsiders" coming in to his home or yard. Kayrn, I also wanted to let you know that we would be interested down the road of getting another Scottie. We would like to have an all black Scottie female one that isn't related to Mac so when she gets old enough to have one batch of puppies before spaying her. So if you will keep me informed or put us on a list for one that would be great. Again I will send pictures soon.
Take care, Connie

Kayrn, I am the new owner of Albie, the lighter and shyer one of the two that Rachel ordered.....I just want to say what a lovely animal little Albie is.....the sweetest and cutest thing I've ever laid my eyes on.....His name is Albie but also responds to "Cutie, Cute Cute Cute". He is very well behaved and potty trained. He no longer goes into a crate and sleeps with me all night long without any problem.....he is close to all his brothers and gets to visit them on a regular basis.....and at home he's my little shadow...and I love him to death!!! Thank you so much!!!
New and very pleased Scottie mom..... Allison

Hi Kayrn, I thought it was time to send along fairly recent pictures of Wallace. He will be five in April of this year and we can hardly believe it - the time has flown by! One of the pictures is a few days before his fourth birthday and the beach picture was taken last August. We are planning to retire by the ocean in a few years and since Wallace loves running on the beach so much, we think he will be very happy with the move. He still loves going for walks and loves more than anything when he sees other dogs on the way. He thinks every dog is his friend and has had to learn the hard way a couple of times that not everyone loves HIM! He will have nothing to do with barking dogs, however, and just passes them by with nose held high. He is not a barker himself and so he can't be bothered with that nonsense. But if they want to play, he is ready. Wallace loves everyone and everyone loves Wallace! People have actually pulled their cars over to get out and ask if they can pet him! It seems like everyone's aunt or uncle or grandmother had a Scottie so he is always stirring memories in people which makes them want to pet him. He tolerates all this adoration just fine! Every few days he will decide he should chase the cat around and will nip at her tail just to irk her. When she's had enough of this she'll turn around and chase him and off he runs in circles hoping she will continue the game. While she tolerates him, I believe she thinks he is a most annoying roommate! We have learned by trial and error that he is allergic to peanuts. My husband loves them and eats them a lot. A few times he's tossed Wallace one and each time he has thrown up that night. I also bought him some doggie biscuits once that had peanut butter in them. Up those came too, so he no longer gets anything peanuts. He especially loves green beans and apples, so he "sits pretty" for an occasional treat of those. It's funny but he is really a two person dog. If the three of us are going for a walk, and one of us goes back for keys or something, he will not budge until the missing person has rejoined the group. It doesn't matter if it's me or my husband, he will not proceed until we are all in the "pack" again. Sometimes it can be annoying - for example - when my husband says "go ahead without me" because there is no going ahead as far as Wallace is concerned. He can be very stubborn on this point! He still dances his little jig when he's happy- first one foot and then the other. People always laugh when they see it. Is he a character or what? He is definitely the love of our lives as you can probably tell. Thanks again for such a wonderful pet. I wish we could have another one but my husband is holding out for a bigger "hunting" dog (as if he hunts)! LOLl!
Best regards, Susan

Hi Kayrn: Good News! We had our first vet visit today, and everything went fine! Our vet gave them both a complete exam and remarked how very healthy they were. So I can finally take a long breath! They were a little timid, of course, with strangers, but other than that she thought they represented the breed nicely and were a good size, Gracie weighed 7 lbs. and Gordon was already 9 lbs. It was really funny how on the way home I sat in the front passenger seat of the car and had both puppies inside my coat for warmth and security, then half way home Gracie got car sick and threw up all over my shirt and coat. Puppies will be puppies.
So, everything seems to be great. Thanks again for the new members of our family! Len

Hi Kayrn: Gordon & Gracie are sleeping so I thought I'd take a moment to write to you. I was so surprised at how well-behaved they were at such a young age; you must have worked hard at socializing them! And what sweet beautiful puppies!! Amazing! First let me say how happy I was with Continental Airlines; they did a great job. After such a long ordeal the puppies seemed perfectly fine - no great mess, no signs of fright or stress, in fact on the way home they both fell asleep. Secondly, the food you sent with them is not the same as the Purina Puppy Chow I bought. Is it different? Did I misunderstand what you told me? I want to make sure I have the right food!!! Also, I think I told you I have a vet appointment on Tuesday morning and since I haven't received any papers from you as yet, I need to know what shots they have had and when. Have you wormed them and when? And have you noticed any special health concerns I should be aware of? They both seem to be very healthy and happy which is a GREAT sign. Thanks so much for everything. I really appreciate all your efforts. I will let you know about what the vet says and anything else on Tuesday.
