email - Just sending a thank you for my great dogs

Duane and Kayrn,

Just dropping a note to say that both pups I got from you, Fig and Annie, are doing great. Along with Peatie, their scottieX older brother, they keep a close eye on the cats that parade around just outside their fence.

I'm sending a photo of Fig watching the neighborhood from her window bench. She is very gratified that her photo was posted on your webpage as the brindle color example. She looks like her dad, Eiric, doesn't she?

Many thank-yous for such wonderful dogs.

Kellie

email - Happy Holidays from Moka Ukiah McDuff

Found in the center, your own Moka sends you Happy Holidays. He is the joy of my life as he turns nine in January. He is everywhere I go. He is also a most unusual personality with few of the typical Scotty traits, except he has a great arooooooo!

email - Bizzie

Kayrn,

Bizzie did great on the ride home and has acclimated to our home and her fellow companions very well. We are discovering that she has an assertive personality and is learning where her place is within the pack. Buster our older Scottie pretty much gave her the pecking order with him right away and now we’re watching as the one year old Westie, Bea, and Bizzie work out their pecking order. Bizzie definitely gives Bea a run for her money. They are having a great time running in the yard chasing one another.

Wish us success for ‘quick’ pottie training and an end to sleepless nights!
I’ll send pictures soon.

Happy Holidays,
Krista

Hi Kayrn,

He is doing well - he is adorable - I have named him Heathcliff.

email - Caelan McKay

Hi Kayrn
It's sooo nice to hear from you.
I hope that you and Duane are doing well that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
My little puppy is simply PERFECT!! I can't tell you how crazy I am about her.
She has turned out to be the BEST little friend, Kayrn. I'm so in love with her that I can hardly stand it. We are inseparable and are currently still working on potty training.. We're getting closer,, it's like one step forward and 2 steps back,, but she's catching on.
I have been wanting to send you some photos of her and I will definitely do that when I get some time.
I visited your website the other day and just giggled with delight when I saw all of the photos of puppies and people doing the "meet and greet". What a wonderful thing it is that you and Duane do, Kayrn. I wish that all people could know what it's like to have a scrumptious little Scottie in your life.
I have no idea what I am going to do when it comes time to bring a new little friend into my life without you and Duane. I'm secretly hoping that you two will just go on forever raising your fabulous Scottish Terriers. I do however think back to Duane's comment on how tired he was of cleaning up all of the "crap"!! I know exactly what he's talking about and that's just cleaning up after "one".. :-)
We named our little girl Caelan McKay after doing a bit of Scottish/Gaelic name searching. It seems to fit her.
Well, I guess I best get. I've got the turkey in the oven and need to get the rest of my house in shape for my guests.
Again, I hope that you have a wonderful day and I will definitely be staying in touch with you.

Kindest Regards
Connie

email - Charlie

Hi Kayrn & Duane,
I just wanted to drop you a quick line to let how much we love our little Charlie. He is so cute and cuddly at times and feisty and playful too. He loves sneaking up on his toys and beating them up. Wednesday we had the grandkids here due to the Veterans holiday and he had a great time playing with them. I'm not sure who was more tired, him or them.
We are working hard on potty training, and plan to enroll him in a puppy class next month.

Thanks again,
Rae & Tom

email - Here is our Hogan!

Dear Kayrn,
He is a very smart and sweet dog. Always following his big brother Argus , our German Shepperd . They get along well, and Argus can stand Hogan's strong personality. I can not believe he will be 1 year old next 30th. We took him to the vet today for a check up and he is well and weighs 23 pounds.
I am so pleased to have such a nice dog as my companion all the time. Hope that you guys are doing fine, as well all your dogs.

Best regards,
Rosemary and Bill

email - Cassie Mae and McKenna ORhea update & pics

Kayrn,

Kenna and Cassie were greatly on my mind today so I thought that I would share a couple of photos of them with you.

They loved it here on the ranch. McKenna was actually a pretty good, little sheep herding dog. Cassie was our short legged guard dog. She thought that she could take on ANYTHING and actually tried it more than once.

They were wonderful friends Kayrn and I thank each and every day that they were in my life.

They didn't spend a lot of time at the groomers. I usually took them in 2 times a year. Though I loved them with their spiffy, groomed cuts, I also adored them just being my scruffy looking babies.

We live on a sheep ranch right on the Yakima River and they spent most of their waking hours outside roaming the ranch always in search of what might be hiding in the sprinkler pipes or what might be lounging down along the river bank. They especially loved to ride on the 4-wheeler with me when I was out checking sheep or doing the irrigating. McKenna would run clear across the pasture to hitch a ride with me.

She was a sight to see with your nose pointed up, the wind blowing through her hair and her darling little tongue sticking out. She was a very good rider. Of course we never traveled at a very speedy pace but non the less she thought that she was quite the little biker dog.

The animal hospital called today saying that Cassie's cremated remains were ready to be picked up. I have a perfect spot picked out in my garden where she used to lay by me whilst I was out planting or pulling weeds.

After McKenna crossed the Rainbow bridge I found a wonderful Scottie cement statue on eBay that I purchased in remembrance of her. I have it out in the garden along with a remembrance plaque. As soon as I get Cassie Mae home I will once again have her out in the garden with me. Always making me smile and reminding how lucky I was to have her in my life.

Below are the 2 photos that I wanted to share with you.
The first is of myself, my grand-daughter and McKenna (black) and Cassie (wheaten). They were actually groomed in this photo. They loved to ride on the hay trailer when we were feeding the sheep. It was a beautiful day on the river that day! The second photo is once again of my grand-daughter, Kenna and Cassie sitting in the basket of the 4-wheeler. They seldom rode in the basket but it seemed appropriate for this photo opportunity. Both photos were probably taken about a year and a half to two years ago.

They were ALWAYS together. I think that may be one of the reasons that they passed away so close together. Neither of them had much to do with the other two dogs in our family. It was kind of like they had their own little club that no other 4 legged animal could join!!

I have downloaded your purchase contract and will be most likely filling it out in the near future so that I can welcome a new Scottie into our home. It seems early to be bringing a new friend into our lives but I think that it just might be the right thing to do.

Thanks for everything Kayrn and thank you especially for providing me with the privilege and honor of "sharing" 10 wonderful years with my beloved Scotts. I NEVER "owned" them. It was quite the other way around.

Kindest Regards
Connie
