Merry Christmas

Hi Kayrn and Duane,

Happy holidays to you and your family from all of us.

Gus has managed to navigate (up only) the two flights of stairs leading to the second floor of the house - what an accomplishment!
He's getting 'pretend' grooming sessions to get him used to the sound of the clippers and grooming tools. You can see we're only really trimming ears at this point since everything else is still puppy fluff. Ken and I really love the puppy fluff. /smile  Gus is brave, even up on the grooming table, and doesn't mind the vibration of the clippers at all.

He is such a sweetie, snuggly and happy all the time. He's beginning to push a few boundries; and he does his two minute 'time outs' in the play pen with adorable puppy pouts, eye rolls and sighs.

His appointment for final vaccinations is December 26th, after that - watch out world, here comes Gus.

We'll be back with more of Gus' adventures in the new year.

Wishing you all the best,
Jayel, Ken, Duffy, Ally and Gus

2 boys

Gabe and Gus are doing great, just absolutely adorable. Our vet put their pictures up on Facebook: Grace Park Animal Hospital

They both love exploring the backyard (they love to run...and FAST, they must be Scottish Terrier Greyhounds Emoji) and wrestling like true brothers (they both have the same moves so every match is a TIE! Emoji ). Both are still sleeping well throughout the night, potty training is going surprising well, and appetites are good (as of Wednesday they are both now 10.6 lbs). Vet says they look "GREAT"!

I will have more pictures soon, just need to catch them during a rest period Emoji Thanks for checking in, we appreciate it!  Have a wonderful weekend!

First snow of the year

I love to sit and watch out of my window to see if Ruby is outside. Ruby is my special friend who lives next door - sometimes we kiss under the fence and hold hands too - there is just enough room for a small nose or paw!
I love my life!

Happy holidays from my parents and me!

Lofton pups arrive in NC

Sorry I'm delayed in updating you...We all arrived safely to North Carolina on Sunday (12/3).  We chose the names finally:  Gabriel (Gabe) and Gustav (Gus).
Gabe and Gus are the best travelers...no problems in the hotels, airport, or the plane.  Gabe and Gus both acted like they had traveled for years!  :)   Picture attached from their stay in one of the hotel rooms.
It was great meeting you and Duane, please keep in touch!

Have a wonderful week!

Hamish Puppy

Hi Karyn,
We are having a great time with our Hamish...he is loved and a little spoiled. He went to his grandmas house in Yakima for thanksgiving and was just a joy.

I wanted to share a few photos. He started nursery school last week and is enjoying other pups his age.

Hope you are well!

Hi Kayrn and Duane,

Just a wee update as we continue to broaden Gus' view of the world. He's discovered the joy of cookies from the drive-thru coffee shop, had his second vet appointment for vaccinations, and met several of Duffy and Ally's dog friends. One ear up,the second is still up and down, but it's coming.
Gus is such a happy puppy and so willing to learn. Everything is a game that ends with a 'click' and treat.
I love visiting your website and seeing all the other wonderful Scotties in the Montgomerie of Camas family. It's like an online reunion.
Here's a little video of Duffy and Gus having a bit of tug-o-war.
The tug-o-war with Duffy is at the end.

All the best,
Jayel and Ken

Hi Kayrn,

A few pictures of Lily at 10 weeks. She is the sweetest, most loving puppy. I love her so much.
I am thinking of giving you a deposit for a black Scottie. When did you expect another litter?

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Hi Karyn and Duane

Halfdan is perfect. He's healthy, he's playful, and he ensures he is the center of our lives.; And we are very happy to have him in that role. We lost our Maggie to renal failure a year ago so we are especially grateful that we have Halfdan.

I've attached a couple of photos (I hope you are able to receive and see them). There's a photo just of Halfdan - when we are out with him, people often tell us what a handsome dog he is, and he truly is handsome. The other photo is of Halfdan and his Mini-Halfdan. A year or so ago I took a needle felting class and was asked to bring photos of something to create in felt. I created a miniature Halfdan and the photo shows them nose to nose.

Thank you for asking about Halfdan. He is very special to us.

Hi Duane and Kayrn,
Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. Gus continues to thrive. He's mastered the 'sit and wait your turn' for treats. That's hard when you are the third dog. /laugh
Crating has been a breeze, Gus took to it quite naturally and enjoys his little 'cave'.  Our French Bulldog, Ally, has taken on the job of babysitter and is doing a very good job. Of course, Duffy is still Gus' role model and teaches all things Scottie. He's been a great disciplinarian, teaching Gus that biting too hard will get you a grumpy old Scottie growl.
All the best,
Ken and Jayel

Gus video

What a wonderful puppy. He puts himself to bed at night, and is learning to sit for treats. Like all Scotties, he has a wonderful enthusiasm for life and my wish for him is that he stay as happy as he is today for his entire life. We love him!
He's running Duffy and Ally ragged, so everyone sleeps very well at night. /wink
I'm mailing you a DVD today. It has the 'puppies' video on it as well as several I have made of Gus. You can also keep track of him on his YouTube page.
Thanks again for another lovely Scottie,
Ken and Jayel

Kelsie’s 1st Birthday

Kayrn and Duane

It's hard to believe she is a year old today. Seems like yesterday when I got her from you on New Year's Day. We had a hard winter. Lots of snow. She didn't know what grass looked like for her first month here. This is her eating her frosty paws dog ice cream for her birthday. Her sister Maisie and her are really bonding. She is a very sweet. Thanks again for such a great dog.
